sad/violent music

So I'm working on a new soundtrack that I'm calling "The Good, The Bad and The Wicked". It's an updated version of THE GOOD, THE BAD and THE UGLY. While TGBU was set against the Civil War, this story is set against the new civil war between the red states and blue states. In the background of the story is a GW-like character who is waging this ammoralisitc war against American society. That's just the background though. The real story concerns three women. Think the girls from THE CRAFT all grown up. They are witches in that they have these magical powers. The hook though is that somehow they switched their powers when they were young and are each trying to get them back from each other to restore whatever balance orginally existed in their lives. So in researching music for this soundtrack I've discovered the following music which is alternately freaking me out and breaking my heart:
  • Stabbed In The Face - Wolf Eyes
  • Urine Burn - Wolf Eyes
  • Ancient Delay - Wolf Eyes
  • Rattlesnakes - Tori Amos
  • Shadowlands - Ryan Adams (Rich turned me on to this song)
  • Everybody Here Wants You - Jeff Buckley (again, a Rich song)
  • Kissing The Lipless - The Shins (this song so rocks - it's a great counterpoint to Wolf Eyes and could have been a song on Six Feet Under)
  • Followed The Waves - Auf Der Maur
  • Lighting Is My Girl - Auf Der Maur
I want most of the songs to be sung by women, telling the story of these three women who are fighting each other and dealing with the chaos of society at large.
